I need to add a 20 character field to Purchase Order Receipts....each line must have the ability to enter a free form "Container" line....can be blank..

Generating A Report On Invintory Multimedia
I am trying to make sure that all our inventory in syspro has an engineering drawing attached to it.
Is there a way to generate an inventory report that has a column indicating whether a multimedia image has been attached or not?

I am attempting to convert a sql company from 6.1 sp1 to 7 update 1..
I am getting the following error.

Creating A 2Nd Syspro Server On The Same Network Segment
Some background: We have a separate segment on our network where we’ve setup a 3 tier testing environment.
Syspro Server – .02
Sql Server - .01
Terminal server – 0.3
This is currently functioning 100% as a test bed for all our add on applications, however we need to update the Syspro ports in order to resolve another matter (which was logged) and in order to do that we want to setup another Syspro server.
We’ve setup the below. BUT when trying to install Syspro server I get a bunch of errors stating it’s not a new installation and that files are in use. Keep in mind this is a completely new installation and a newly created server.
Syspro Server – 0.4
SQL Server – 0.1 Instance 2 on the sql server
Terminal server - .5
My question is: would it be possible to setup a new Syspro server on the same segment, or do we have to create a complete new segment in our network in order to test the updates. (We don’t want to affect the other testing currently happening on the test environment)
I don’t know enough about the new Syspro communication service…
I hope this makes sense?

Fyi If You Change To A New Domain
Just some info I found about changing domains. Our company was recently purchased and we switched everyone to the new company's domain. The new company used a different ip range. For Syspro client and server to continue to communicate you need to do the following.
On the Server:
Run CCINST.EXE (SYSPRO61\BASE) and change to the new ip.
In the SQL configuration you need to change the to the new ip
In the ODBC/DSN change the ip for the SysproServer
On the Client:
Right click the Syspro icon and change the HOST ip address to the new one.

Our current team is very new to SYSPRO EDI and we have an Urgent requirement from one of our large .com Customers to capture the expected ship date for every line that is BACKORDERED. Once the 850 produces the Sales Order our Customer Service dept. determines the new expected ship date but it appears the shipdate on the line can't be modified. We have created a customer form field on the merchandised line to hold the date. We have defined it as a date and selected Ship date in the translation.. Because of this requirement we have turned off the automatic generation of the 855 so that we can get the BO dates on the order where appropriate. So we are trying to capture the ship date into our CFF for all line and Customer Service will only change the dates for the lines back ordered. This way the 855 can be configured to always chose the CFF for the date on the line. I can not get the ship date to populate the CFF on import. We are not sure if this is even the best approach but can someone help.

We use multiple bin locations, and we're trying to use SYSPRO's e.net SORTOI via REST+XML...
We're able to import an order and return the order number, but the issue we ran into is having multiple bin locations.
There's no way for it to find a BIN location automatically with available qty. Instead, it relies on the default BIN location... which is empty on all of our stock codes.
I have reviewed SYSPRO's documentation up and down and can't find anything that would mitigate this issue we're having...
If we put available qty in a BIN and set that stock code's default bin location to that bin, it adds the qty to the ship column.
And if the default bin for the stock code is empty, it doesn't see any available qty, so it puts the item on backorder.
Is there a parameter we're missing??..

Wip: Delete All Material Allocations Related To An Operation
If I delete on a job operation #7 (out of 9), all attached material allocations will be transferred to Operation #1 - we don't want this to happen. Is there a way that if I kill that operation #7, all attached material operations are also deleted? (if there isn't any transaction of course)

Navigation Pane Menus: Copy From 1 To All Users (Syspro 7)
Hi,
I just created a new Menu under my Navigation pane. In previous versions of Syspro (6.0) I was able to right-click over the Menu and make a copy to all users.
How can I do that in Syspro 7?
I found the Export and Import function but it requires to perform the operation from each user's desktop. I tried it and I was able to import the menu to a second user but I would like to maintain the Menu "system wide".
